Originally a traditional, double-fronted 1960s bungalow on a mature 0.2 acre plot within walking distance of popular South Manchester suburb Bramhall. The donor property was already perfectly situated within the land and solidly built. The perfect strategy was to go up, adding a new floor to create a stylish five bedroom family home.

We started by imagining the spaces a family would need, removing almost every original internal wall to provide large open-plan living areas without compromising on the separate rooms a family also needs. The result was Grey Gables, an outstanding large contemporary property featuring a stunning living kitchen, large lounge, separate dining and home office. Upstairs we delivered five double bedrooms, three bathrooms including two en-suites and a master dressing room.

Externally stock brick facades were replaced by a complementary mix of white render, feature stone elevations and modern roofline glazing. The gardens, already good, were transformed by the addition of sliding electric gates and large gravel parking to the front and a feature slate patio at the rear.

Delivered a perfect combination of living spaces from a feature entrance lobby, through to a large hallway with dining off and into a huge family-living-dining space as well as a large lounge, good sized den/study, cloaks and new utility room. Five double bedrooms, dressing room and three bathrooms to first floor.
